What is a man?

December 14, 2008 on 12:41 am | In Uncategorized | No Comments

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

A man is confident, he get’s his security from his inner strength, knowledge, life experience, and obstacles he has over come in his life.

A man does not run from his fears but instead faces them because he knows that there is hidden strength to be gained in overcoming them.

He lives life on his own terms and is willing to take the risks that it brings.

He is both gentle and strong at the same time and he knows how to make a woman feel like a woman.

He’s strength and identity does not come from, his job, title, car, house, clothes, or the woman he is with because he knows all of that can be gone in an instant and the only thing real in this life is what is inside him.

Nor does he need those things to make up for what he lacks on the inside or to over compensate for his shortcomings.

He naturally attracts them to him and has them only becuase he desires them.

He is firm and strong when he knows he is right and is big enough to let go of his ego and say “I’m sorry” when he knows he is wrong. He has goals and the means, drive and will to attain them.

He does not need to play games or waste his time with those that do. He tells you where you stand when you ask. He knows he can handle the situation so he feels no need to lie becuase he knows that lies come from a place of weakness and he wants no part of that.

That’s what a man is to me and the man I strive to be. It’s not always an easy path but very often a rewarding one.

Obama Won So Now What?

Obama Won So Now What?

Barack Hussein Obama is now our next president of the united states and while I did not vote for him and I do not think he was the best choice. I truly hope that I and all of those other people that felt as I did are wrong and that he turns out to be one of the best presidents we have ever had in this country.

I also hope that he turns out to be a Bill Clinton and NOT a Jimmy Carter or worse incarnation of the Democratic party. I also hope Obama and his advisers have the intelligence and insight to not raise taxes until the economy is out of this recession.

A lot of people are freaking out right now, and are in dis-belief and thinking “how can people be so stupid and ignorant and do this to our country” I have talked with some and they are truly in fear. Why? Because they are old enough to know what true Socialism and Marxism are. They are people that have lived and seen a lot, not the inexperienced first time voters that gave Obama the turnout he needed to win.

I personally am setting aside all of my preconceived notions about Obama to see what he actually does and what kind of president he turns out to be.

I am really happy for all of the African-Americans and minorities that feel vindicated and I hope this motivates them not to lean on the Government, but to realize the real message here is that in America anything is possible and that the race or color card is no longer applicable and a valid excuse for your problems and lack of success in your life and now is the time to take responsibility for your problems and life and change them.

I also hope the Republican Party wakes up and realizes that as they are now the party is dead and that if they ever want to be in power again they will have to re-invent them self into a new Republican Party that is based on creating less government, lower taxes and giving people their personal freedoms such as the right to marry who you what to marry, the right of a woman to make the choice to have a baby or an abortion and that the decision should between her and God and not the government.

A party that will look to profit by helping people, and realize profit is not profit at all if it is at the expense of our people and our environment. That will NOT be controlled by Big Business but will create a business environment where all businesses can thrive big and small as long as they are providing real value and not causing harm to the people they are profiting from.

A party that will provide better health care, by allowing alternative medicine to exist rather than be stamped out by the FDA and big pharmaceutical companies.A party that wants a strong military to protect OUR country, but not to be the world police force and to follow the founding fathers desire for neutrality in other nations matters and that we must take care of our country first.

I am hoping for the best from both parties in the future and only time will tell if this was a great moment in history or a rash decision made by people and voting for someone just becuase of his color and out of desperation for change. Change is NOT always a good thing. George bush made a lot of changes.

PS: And for you guys that voted for him, no whining if your taxes go up and you paycheck shrinks becuase many analysts have already said he can’t do what he wants to do with out raising taxes on the middle class, or if we get into a war and he starts a draft (both men and women 18-40 like he said he would if there was one) or he makes some radical changes that you did not expect.

To play or not to play? (Guitar Hero III)

July 29, 2008 on 10:39 pm | In Motivational | No Comments

I really hardly have time to play videos games I have played HALO 3 since it came out in fact it was the only reason I even bought my XBOX 360. So I had a best buy rewards gift certificate so I thought since they don’t have the iPhone 3G I’ll get a couple of games. So I bought Unreal Tournament III and honestly I wish I didn’t it’s not as good as HALO 3 in my opinion. And I also so I bought Guitar Hero III.

I could not open the Guitar Hero III Package. You see it’s a total fucking waste of time! I have spent enough time playing HALO 3 becuase, as the saying goes all work and now play makes John a dull boy or however it goes. I mean I really love Halo 3.

I played Guitar Hero III once with with some friends and it was fun I’ll give it that but here is the real issue. I have 5 Real Guitars 3 Electrics and 2 acoustics and I hardly ever touch them (See 3 below). In fact I have been playing off and on (much more off than on) since I was 8 years old. And I am not really any good at it. Why becuase I never fucking practice!!!

Some of my Guitars

So I have 5 guitars that many Guitar players would kill for wishing I could play really well and here I am staring at this fucking Guitar Hero III toy  thinking “You have got to be kidding” You have 5 killer guitars in the other room that you almost never touch and you are going to spend countless hours playing this fucking toy with 4 plastic button on it. And then I remember back to when I was 8 and wanting to play guitar and think of all of the young kids wasting hours of their lives playing this stupid game when they could be learning to Jam on the real guitar!

So I took the Guitar Hero III back today! I pulled out my Ovation Acoustic  The one with the flames in the picture.( I can’t keep them on the wall becuase of the lack of humidity in Vegas.) And started to play and decided that they money that went for Guitar Hero III was now going to the BEST instructional guitar course I can find! Who knows I might even buy a Fretlight Guitar! (Has light up frets that show you where to put your fingers)

Yes I am going to Still play Halo 3 I love it! But work and my guitar is coming first!

Now if they would only make a version of Guitar Hero that allowed you to use a real guitar and practice while playing the game we would be on! I could really get into that! (I hear some companies are working on it right now, but an Official GH Version would be awesome!)

BTW here is a thought for you kids/guys playing GH III Which one do you think will get you more chicks? GH III or a Real Guitar!)

Too Darn Busy To Blog…

December 8, 2007 on 1:25 am | In Uncategorized | 1 Comment

As you can see from my last post I have been just too damn busy to blog.

Between trying to finsih the new book, re-writing and updating the old book, getting ready to start a new members website and doing some hardcore domaining. I barely leave the house which is why I started doing the online dating thing in the first place. Thank God for myspace .com or I’d never get laid…lol I just don’t really have the time to go out and meet new people. Which is why 90% of the women I have dated in the last 5 years has come from Myspace.com If I ever meet Tom I owe him a drink!

Finally I have started to take the time to just relax and have some fun. Playing a few board games with some friends, and now I playing HALO 3! I love it and I am getting better and starting to kick some ass!

I am going to try to blog more soon and work it in…But remember I also have two other business websites to blog for!

Hello World!

August 6, 2007 on 7:46 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

This is my personal blog, no business on here. Just a way for my friends (and chicks that google me) to find out about me and who I am. There are links to my sites but no sales letters, no pitches, I do have some ad words only because it would be nice to pay for the hosting on this site, but I am not trying to sell you anything on here, I have plenty of websites to do that with and you will see them in the links section of the site.

Basically this is my online diary when I have the time to write! I might write about spirituality, sex, computers, movies, food etc!
